Laurie grew up barefoot in a village in India and moved to the Middle East and Europe when he was a teenager. He left home at 14, picked up education along the way and travelled the world as soon as he finished school. He has lived and worked in a bunch of countries but calls the Metro community his home. Along with Sarah (his wife) and their two kids, they have been a part of the Metro community from the beginning.
Laurie is a published photographer, sometime graphic designer and reluctant blogger. He likes to eat curry, climb mountains, tell stories, ride motorcycles and talk about worthwhile things with good friends on street corners. You'll often find him with a member of the Metro community out front of the Beanscene on Bernard - so be sure to go and sit down and talk with him.
