Have you ever wondered to yourself, “What should I say?” or found yourself avoiding someone in deep pain because, “I don’t know what to say?” This workshop presented by Clair Jantzen explores the challenge of coming alongside someone who is facing end of life loss or who has recently suffered a death in the family and is grieving that loss. It addresses what such a journey looks like and provides insight for those family and professionals who give love and care to those at the “end of life” or in bereavement.
The workshop will address both anticipatory grief – and looking ahead to an impending loss, the issues of impending loss, the struggle to come to terms with death over time, both for the dying person and the family, and bereavement grief – when a death has occurred.
A Workshop Designed for:
- Professionals who work with the dying and the bereaved.
- Funeral service personnel
- Volunteers serving in palliative care
- Anyone “walking the road”
